Fly and Light Tackle Shallow Water Sight Fishing Since 1993
|

The Charleston, South Carolina area offers outstanding inshore fishing opportunities for the fly and light tackle angler. Depending
on the season, anglers may encounter redfish, sea trout, flounder, crevalle jack, lady fish, tarpon, and Spanish
mackerel. The primary target species for inshore anglers is redfish. Fishing for redfish is done primarily by
sight casting to schooling fish during the months from October through April or sight casting to tailing fish from late April through October.

As a South Carolina licensed
guide service, Curlew Charters is
required to purchase an annual salt water fishing
stamp that covers all persons fishing from the
boat; therefore, clients do not need to purchase
their own salt water stamps.
Anglers are responsible for providing their own
snacks and beverages; however, the boat will
provide a cooler and ice. Boat shoes or other flat
soled shoes are recommended; running shoes or
other cleated sole shoes
are discouraged. Anglers
should provide their own
foul weather gear,
especially on cold weather
trips. Polarizing
sunglasses will greatly enhance the anglers'
ability to see fish; light brown or amber tinted
lenses are recommended.
Please note that Curlew Charters offers only
catch and release fishing. No GPS units please.
